Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) is a place-based framework that can help build strong, safe, and healthy neighborhoods and communities. By bringing the community together and focusing on the gifts within, ABCD helps residents, associations, nonprofits, government, and the business community, to act collectively as co-producers of their community’s well-being.

We work with you to develop projects and to move the regional economy forward. This happens as a result of local engagement and regional collaboration with knowledge of and access to local, state and federal programs designed to assist the people we serve. The Community Tool Box is a service of the Center for Community Health and Development at the University of Kansas. The Community Tool Box offers thousands of pages of tips and tools concerning community development topics such as community assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and advocacy.

The Idaho Access Project (IAP) works to address physical, attitudinal, and policy barriers; inform planning and design; and create safe, inclusive cities for all. The IAP provides plan review, consultation and technical assistance for government and private sector partners. Members of the IAP combine extensive knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504, and the Fair Housing Act with skills in housing, community and economic development; transportation; land-use planning and rural engagement.
