During the months of March and April 8 communities from Idaho and Montana have participated in the Spring 2022 WeCAN Community Bootcamp. These community groups have rallied around some very inspiring projects and built a cohesive working groups in the process. Each week the groups arrived via Zoom to learn from experts in rural innovation, storytelling with a purpose, fundraising and putting all the pieces together in action. From the far reaches of Eastern Montana in Sidney and Baker, Central Montana in Valier and Anaconda, to the far northern reaches of the states in Troy and Spirit Lake, from Potlatch and the beautiful shores of Payette Lake in McCall. These communities have jump started projects that will bring new excitement and energy and hopefully they will build their working groups to include new people as they move to bigger projects. They now have the tools in their toolboxes to help them achieve the goals they have set for themselves.
You can find more information about the Community Bootcamp and the next round coming in 2023 at this page. Details for the upcoming cohort will be posted in late 2022.
